La fecha busca generar una mayor conciencia p\u00fablica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La Sociedad Argentina de Pediatr\u00eda (SAP) dice que todo chico con S\u00edndrome de Down o sin \u00e9l, constituye un ser individual. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El desarrollo de su personalidad y de su ser f\u00edsico y mental depender\u00e1 de los factores gen\u00e9ticos heredados y de las influencias culturales y ambientales que, en conjunto, distinguen a toda persona de cualquier otro nacido.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El s\u00edndrome de Down es una alteraci\u00f3n gen\u00e9tica causada por la existencia de material gen\u00e9tico extra en el cromosoma 21 que se traduce en discapacidad intelectual.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La incidencia estimada del s\u00edndrome de Down a nivel mundial se sit\u00faa entre 1 de cada 1.000 y 1 de cada 1.100 reci\u00e9n nacidos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Las personas con s\u00edndrome de Down suelen presentar m\u00e1s problemas de salud en general.
